September 2011

Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year

HeatherBus   Back to school brings up so many real  images- Adults turning in forms; kids getting haircuts, backpacks and new shoes.  Some of our children may be leaving familiar schools and starting in new places. You might be packing your college student up and dreaming about the newfound time you may have if your parenting responsibilities have shifted.  It is normal to mourn growth and change in your family.  Sending everyone off can be very stressful and confusing even if you have fantasized about a little bit of time each day for yourself.   Whether you are sending your first or last child to somewhere new - stress has a way of sneaking up on us- think about self care during this transition and know that routines can be very comforting to everyone!  Join Beyond ECFE to still get the critical support and resources that you  enjoyed when your family was younger.  You never outgrow the Family Center - even if you need to buy new school clothes yourself!
