House from 11am to 1pm to meet our staff and
visit your child's class and childcare

Welcome
to Camp Book Buddies
|

Camp
Book Buddies will immmerse your child in language
and
literacy development, combined with a range of
delightful activities and learning
experiences. Our program provides a balance
of quiet and active, structured and unstructured
activities planned around a weekly theme.
Your teaching team will keep you informed about
specifics each week. Authors and books for
summer 2010 include: Lois Ehlert- Fish
Eyes and Wag A Tail, Bruce Degan-
Sailaway and Jamberry, Nancy
Carlson- Get Up and Go and ABC I Like
Me, Cathryn Falwell- David's Drawings
and Shape
Space.

parking lot

sunscreen to
your child before class or
childcare - teacher's may not
apply
- children
in shoes and socks - no sandals or
crocs!

classrooms and childcare are peanut free
but not the entire
Community Center building.

Aid for Parents- New Class! |
|
|
Feel
prepared and competent to handle family
emergencies.
This
class will provide hands-on skill training to
recognize and provide basic care for sudden
illness and injury until advanced medical
personnel arrive. Red Cross Certification
and
curriculum.

Infant
Massage- June 15 |
|
|
Join Kelly Dritsas, Early Childhood Teacher,
Parent Educator and Massage Instructor from 1:00
to 2:30pm Tuesday June 15th. Massage plays
on important roe in growth and development along
with providing comfort to infants. Kelly
will teach parents and their infants, birth to
crawling, massage strokes, why massage can help in
the attachment process and close the class with
fun baby songs.
Cost
is $20.00 per adult

Shops July 3 Free Event |
|

Family
Event
The
Centennial Shops(The Container Store, Potbelly's,
West Elm, Blick Art Supply, etc.) will host a free
family events on July 3rd from 10am to
2pm. There will be FREE bike decorating to
get ready for 4th of July parades, FREE face
painting, FREE balloon animals and
live
music by the Okee Dokee
brothers. Hot dogs, water and ice cream will
be available for purchase with a portion of the
proceeds benefiting the Edina Family Center.
Bring the family out for summer fun and support
the Family Center.
