SURGE School Year Info

The SURGE Rec Center is a nationally accredited
before/after & non-school day program for youth in grades 6 - 9.

Located in room 136 of the Edina Community Center, the SURGE Rec Center is open every school day morning from 6:45am to 7:45am and every afternoon from 2:40pm - 6:00pm. SURGE is a great place to hang-out, work on homework, or be active in the gyms.

The SURGE Rec Center strongly supports increasing physical activity
for middle school youth and does so in a variety of ways; we offer exciting and
innovative activities in the gym, utilize jump ropes and pedometers,
and plan a variety of active outdoor fieldtrips throughout the year.

During non-school days SURGE offers full-day programming and is open from
6:45am - 6:00pm. The SURGE Rec Center goes on a field trip on these days and is out of the building from 10:00am - 3:00pm.

Please note: There is not a stay back option on SURGE full-days.
