FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Edina High School to host college fair Edina, Minn., March 11, 2010 – It’s never too early to start thinking about one’s post-graduation life. Students from Edina High School (EHS) will get an opportunity to do just that later this month. Sophomore and junior EHS students are invited to attend the Minnesota Education and College Fair, to be held on Tuesday March 23, from 6-8 p.m. in the EHS gym, located at 6754 Valley View Rd. in Edina. “With college tuition and post-secondary education costs on the rise, it’s always good to get an idea of what criteria students are looking for in a school,” said Lisa Burnham, an EHS counselor and co-chair of the event. “Even if they just come, walk around and ask a few questions, it’s still a good idea to get some exposure to their after-graduation plans.” Representatives from more than 90 regional colleges, universities, community colleges, technical colleges, military organizations and specialty schools will be in attendance. Admission is free, and parents and community members are invited to participate as well. Participants should enter the building through Door 7 on the day of the event. The college and career fair is sponsored by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC), EHS Counseling Staff and the EHS College and Career Center.
