Edina School Board Candidate Filing is Aug. 2-16, 2011

Three School Board Members to be Elected on Nov. 8, 2011

Edina, Minn., July 25, 2011 – Residents of Edina who are interested in running for school board in the November 8, 2011 general election may file between August 2 and 16 by obtaining an affidavit of candidacy from the school district clerk, Edina Public Schools, 5701 Normandale Road, Suite 200. Three school board members will be elected to serve four-year terms.

Candidates must be eligible voters, 21 years of age or more upon assuming office, a resident of the school district for 30 days before the general election and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office during the same general election.
Affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the $2 filing fee paid prior to 5 p.m. on August 16, 2011.
