About the Learning Specialist and Success Center
The Learning Specialist services and Success Center are two separate intervention programs offered by Edina Public Schools. Both programs provide extended services in the areas of Math and Reading for eligible students. The teachers are certified elementary teachers and have many years of experience teaching students in both large and small group settings.
- The Learning Specialist provides service during the regular school day in reading (grades 1-2) and math (grades 3-5).
- Success Center is held after school at Concord Elementary for both Concord and Normandale qualifying students in grades 3-5 in math and reading.
Parents of students in either program receive regular updates on their child's progress through a Continuous Learning Plan, or CLP. These CLPs accompany each participating child's report card.
