Resource Room

The Resource Room serves students with learning disabilities in the area of Reading, Written Language, and Math. Student needs are met through collaboration with regular education teachers, in-class instruction, and pull-out instruction in small groups. These services are provided in English only. Students may also work with the Resource Room teacher on organizational and social skills which enable them to be successful in the mainstream setting. The special education teacher is also available to the school team for consultation regarding any learning and behavioral concerns they may have, regarding students in their classrooms. Assessment for placement within the Special Education program is completed by the special education teacher and school psychologist as well as other special education team members as deemed appropriate.

Speech/Language Program

The Speech/Language program serves students who demonstrate difficulties in any of the following areas or have the following conditions: articulation, fluency, voice, vocabulary, grammar, language processing and/or formation, etc. The Speech/Language program serves students in a pull-out, in-class and monitor basis depending on the student's needs. Students generally receive these services twice weekly for 20 minute sessions. Assessment for placement within the Speech/Language program is completed by the Speech/Language Pathologist.
