Welcome Letter 2010-11

We are so excited to start another school year! To get you off to a great start, Get Connected Day is scheduled Wed., Aug. 25. This is your chance to complete many tasks to get your child ready for a successful and fun school year. You can come to South View any time between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Please enter the building from the west side Dragseth Wing, and head to the gymnasiums. You’ll be able to:
- Pick up your child’s schedule. Schedules will not be available before Aug. 25
- Make sure we have your correct enrollment data.
- Pay fees for field trips.
- Buy a yearbook.
- Have your child’s school picture taken and purchase photos, if you wish.
- Register for EDLINE, the online homework calendar and communication website. Sixth-grade parents and families new to South View will receive their codes, and general information about EDLINE will be available.
- Start a lunch program account or put money into an existing account. Click here for information on Edina Public Schools lunch program.
- Your first step is to print out the forms you’ll need to fill out and turn in. The links are below. On Get Connected Day, baskets will be available in the gymnasium where you turn in each form.
- If you can’t make it to Get Connected Day, materials will be available in South View’s main office from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Families new to the district are invited to a special meeting and orientation on Get Connected Day. The meeting will be from 5 to 6 p.m., and an ice cream social will follow. Look for signs directing you to the location in the building.
