Edina Public Schools supports mobile interactive television/videoconferencing systems in the district's elementary and secondary schools. The incorporation of distance learning technologies into the district's curriculum has allowed students and staff to attend classes, listen to guest author presentations, go on electronic field trips and participate in training sessions between schools on campus and at distant locations.
Electronic delivery of interactive training, videoconferences and virtual field trips provide full-motions, full-color video, with synchronized audio communication between instructor and student. This technology is evolving into a highly valuable tool in the delivery of training and education.
