Relicensure and Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)

This site is for licensed teachers employed by the Edina Public School system and for Edina residents who hold a Minnesota teaching license and are not employed by another school district. If you belong to either of those groups, you may choose to utilize Edina's CEU Committee as the body approving activities for credit toward renewal of their teaching license and/or obtaining the signature needed on the state relicensure form verifying that you have met the requirements for relicensure of a Minnesota teaching license.

Employees of Edina Public Schools

Please use the CEU database to track your CEUs. Be sure all items have been entered into the database, then print off what you entered and staple it to your verification of attendance, i.e. a formal letter or certificate from the person in charge of the event. If the event is a college course, a photocopy of an official transcript is sufficient; it need not be the original. The Staff Development Committee in each building can serve as a resource for you.

If you forgot your CEU password, please use the self-help link provided on the main page.
For other problems, please contact Connie Gastler at the district office, 952-848-4001 or via email: congastler@edina.k12.mn.us

Edina Residents (not employed by another school district) who use the Edina CEU Committee

Disclaimer: The CEU Committee will gladly process a resident's request for clock hours and/or Minnesota state relicensure forms. However, neither Edina Public Schools nor the Edina CEU Committee have any responsibility to remind residents of Edina who hold a Minnesota teaching license about license expiration dates or changes to the State of Minnesota teacher licensure requirements. Each person who holds a Minnesota teaching license is required to do this for him/herself. Please use this page as a resource in helping you to maintain your licensure.

If you would like to be added to the easy-to-use computerized system, contact Connie Gastler, 952-848-4001.

  • Complete all of the state's requirements for relicensure
Many changes to teacher relicensure have occurred since 1999. Please read up on the requirements from the State of Minnesota Renewal Information website.
  • Committee chairperson's signature on a re-licensure form
Download the Re-Licensure Form from the State of MN website.
Complete the form and mail it to: CEU Committee, Department of Teaching and Learning, 5701 Normandale Road, Edina, MN 55424. If you do not have a current file with the CEU Committee you will also need to include proof of clock hours completed.
  • Submit relicensure forms in January of the year that your license expires.
This allows time to resolve problems before the last committee meeting. Consult the committee's meeting schedule (above) for the final meeting date.
